The 1950 Formula One season was the first season of the Formula One World Championship. It consisted of seven races, including the Indianapolis 500, and also included many parallel categories, including the Champion Elimination Medals Championship, whose effect was not noticeable, as there was not a previous champion to eliminate, and the Mediocrity Awards, won by Johnny Claes. Giuseppe Farina won the overall championship.
