Harry Schell
Harry O'Reilly Schell (born 29 June 1921 in Paris, France, died 13 May 1960 in Silverstone, United Kingdom) was an American racing driver who competed in Formula 1 from 1950 onwards. Born in a wealthy family, Schell had a reputation as a playboy, and his career constantly threatened to take off without ever achieving prolonged success. After stints at the short-lived All American Racers and Ferrari America, he briefly replaced Reg Parnell at Scuderia Ferrari before signing for Geoff Richardson in 1955 and Cooper in 1956.
He died during an accident in practice for the non-championship International Trophy when his car somersaulted into a brick wall. He was 38.
