John "Johnnie" Parsons (born 4 July 1918 in Los Angeles, died 8 September 1984 in Van Nuys) was an American racing driver who competed in Formula 1 in 1950. The AAA National champion in 1949, Parsons was signed by Aston Martin as their second driver for the inaugural Formula One season alongside Raymond Sommer, but after two fruitless races, he was fired in favour of his countryman Cecil Green. Parsons continued his successful career in the United States following this stint in Formula One, scoring 11 AAA victories, 20 podiums and a further two top ten championship finishes in 1950 and 1951.
