Leslie George Johnson (born 22 March 1912 in Walthamstow, died 8 June 1959 in Foxcote) was a British racing driver who competed in the first ever Formula 1 race in 1950, although the entrant of his car is debated. Some say ex-racer T.A.S.O. Mathieson entered his car, while others say that ERA, having been purchased by Johnson three years previously, must have been on the entry list. Johnson retired from racing in 1954, due to health problems, which eventually led to his death in 1959, aged 46.
