It was organized by NVRT Holdings, the company behind [[Rejects of LFS]], a month after the [[2015 Rejects of LFS season]] finale. The RoLFS season had been marred by the death of [[Nobushige Fukuda]] at the penultimate race of the season, an event that ultimately led to the dissolving of RoLFS completely and the creation of a completely new series called the [[International Formula Reject Challenge]]. This put the future of Aston 24 Hours in doubt before even the first running of it had taken place. The race was won by [[Aero Kings Racing]], who fielded [[George Bruno]], [[Marco Bizzarri]], and [[Calvin Brooks]] as their drivers.
