The Italian Grand Prix was a race on the Formula One calendar. It was first held in 1950 as the final race of the season. For 67 years the race was held on the Autodromo Nazionale Monza near Milan until the race was scrapped in 2017.
The race defected to the rival AutoReject World Series in 2018 and caused a near-two year long legal battle over the rights to the Italian Grand Prix name, which was resolved ahead of the 2020season. The race returned to the calenda but used the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari near Imola after Formula One Management chairman Achille Lunardi announced that Monza would never hold a Formula One Race again.
