After a highly successful 2017 season, the team was preparing for 2018. However, McAllister made the decision to put the team up for sale as the team desperately needed an influx of capital that he himself was unable to find. The [[Peak Motorsport Group]] would take over the team for the 2018 season and beyond, with Philip Neumann keeping a small stake and retaining his role as Technical Director.
The change in ownership meant that [[Kay Lon]] decided to retire from F1RWRS competition to compete in the [[AutoReject Super Touring|International Pro Car Championship]] for his brand [[Best In The World]], while team-mate [[Alexey Buyvolov]] would compete in the Race of Rejects after his management surprisingly dropped him. The team's base is located in Coventry, England, a city with a long history of automotive design and manufacturing.

The team was bought out by the Peak Motorsport Group at the conclusion of the 2017 ARWS season due to financial difficulties. Thus, it underwent a name change to Peak Aeroracing Engineering. PAE's current ARWS lineup consists of Daniel Martins and Tomo Kazama.

Peak Aeroracing currently run five teams across the ARWS, AR3.5, AR2.0, Anglo-Irish F4 and FIA F2 series.

ARWS

Aeroracing was formed in 2015 and replaced McAllister's former Team Phoenix which had existed since 2011 but had become hampered by poor results and a lack of organisation. Starting afresh, McAllister and his partners stated Aeroracing would be, "a serious concern focused almost solely on the engineering side and in producing as fast a car as possible".

Wasting no time having established the new team, McAllister and the rest of the team set about acquiring the assets of Team Phoenix which had been shut down at the conclusion of the 2014 season. The entries for all three series, plus the cars, equipment and contracts were all transferred over smoothly, with everything moved from Phoenix's old base in Madrid to Coventry by mid-January, allowing Aeroracing to start preparation for the upcoming year almost immediately. Chassis designs for new F1 and F3RWRS cars were already well advanced from the previous year, and McAllister maintained the links with Audi that he'd established under the team's former guise, thus providing Aeroracing with strong factory support for its engines. Using his still large presence in Spain, McAllister was able to secure a significant sponsorship deal with Repsol, as well as energy drinks company Dark Dog, whilst tobacco brand Camel carried over its support from Team Phoenix. This all combined to give the team it's striking yellow/orange/white livery.

Pre-season testing for the F1RWRS delivered promising results, and the ARE-01 car looked quick. It was a massive improvement on the cars ran by Team Phoenix in previous years, and it looked likely that Aeroracing would even be able to challenge for race wins on occasion. For the first race of the year in Adelaide, Douglas Mann drove alongside The Stig as the new team made their debut. Pippa was driving for her own Foxdale team for the first race to help establish the team for the season, and from the second race at Bathurst onwards, she drove for Aeroracing, with Douglas driving for Foxdale. The team's debut was somewhat overshadowed by the double retirement, and The Stig's nasty crash, but he'd proven the potential of the car by running in second for most of the race and was certain to finish on the podium.

2018-present: Peak Aeroracing

After a highly successful 2017 season, the team was preparing for 2018. However, McAllister made the decision to put the team up for sale as the team desperately needed an influx of capital that he himself was unable to find. The Peak Motorsport Group would take over the team for the 2018 season and beyond, with Philip Neumann keeping a small stake and retaining his role as Technical Director.

The change in ownership meant that Kay Lon decided to retire from F1RWRS competition to compete in the International Pro Car Championship for his brand Best In The World, while team-mate Alexey Buyvolov would compete in the Race of Rejects after his management surprisingly dropped him. He would later be picked up by the Dacia F1RWRS Team.

This left PAE to hurriedly secure two new race drivers for the upcoming season. They would ultimately sign Ashley Watkinson, who returns to the series after a 1 year sabbatical to IWC in the States; and former Mecha pay driver Renaldo Jiménez, who also did not race in the 2017 season. A new chassis was built (the PAE Mk.1) and contracts with engine supplier Audi and tyre supplier Bridgestone were renewed.

Former Sunshine driver Daniel Martins and F3RWRS driver Tommi Hämäläinen will be the team's testers.

Jiménez would be replaced by Martins from Italy onwards due to poor qualifying efforts. Similarly, Watkinson would be replaced by Japanese journeyman Hansuke Shioya starting at Austria.

2019

For 2019, the team would return without Shioya, having been replaced by Gregor Pascal, who brought sponsorship from Adecco. Martins remained in the lead driver role while Jorge Álvarez Torrente and Lukas Zuber would join the squad as test and reserve drivers.
