American Racing Conglomerate, often shortened to ARC is an American racing team that formerly competed in F1RWRS.

Team History

2012-2013

American Racing Conglomerate was formed by several American racing enthusiasts in 2008. They quickly managed to secure large corporate backing and began operating racing teams in the American Le Mans Series and IndyCar. However, ARC's eventual goal was to make it to F1RWRS. American Racing Conglomerate finally got their wish after the Hemogoblin Autowerks team folded. After T. Hemo Goblin shut his team down in the middle of 2012 F1RWRS season, a confusing mess emerged as his team's assets were shuffled through several legal avenues before they landed in the hands of ARC CEO Grant Hurst. ARC hired Brad Paisley as team principal and Collin Pratchett as their driver and competed 2012 with only one car, scoring no points and DNPQing twice. However, 2013, was ARC's banner year as the new regulations suited the team. ARC qualified for four out of the six races at the start of the season but unreliability kept them from achieving anything.

Prior to the 2013 F1RWRS French Grand Prix, Trueba Racing Team driver Tristan Jung was in talks to buy part of the team and run it himself. The deal fell through after Trueba's owner Giovanni Roda protested and Jung was fired after his arrest for online piracy charges. The charges also extended to several key members of ARC's staff, including team principal Brad Paisley. ARC's management, like any good American corporation, cleared out many of the staff members and brought new ones in.

Many thought the team would now fall into disrepair but surprisingly enough, ARC's new driver Jesus Plaza brought home a shocking podium in the 2013 F1RWRS British Grand Prix! Plaza's podium guaranteed that ARC would no longer have to pre-qualify, a major development. ARC would have a stellar second half, with Pratchett and Plaza combining for two podiums and three other points finishes en route to seventh in the Constructors' Championship. At the season-ending 2013 F1RWRS Indianapolis 500, ARC performed brilliantly on home soil with Plaza taking second and Pratchett taking fifth, the best overall team in the race. ARC also raced young American talent Dan Greenlaw in the Indy 500.

2014

For the 2014 F1RWRS season, ARC hopes to improve on their impressive season from last year and seem to be on their way with Plaza taking an sixth place at the 2014 F1RWRS Australian Grand Prix. However, after two successive double-DNF rounds, the management at ARC's parent company began to get skittish. Reports said that ARC F1 was losing money and that there was a 2.5 million dollar gap in the budget. ARC F1 claimed that the money was used to pay Ford for their engine deal for 2014. ARC guaranteed success prior to the United States Grand Prix. Unfortunately, ARC flopped and Jesus Plaza was awarded Reject of the Race.

After their embarrassing showing at their home race, Collin Pratchett went to the press and claimed that the team was favoring Jesus Plaza over himself. Pratchett was duly fired after the Monaco Grand Prix and he was replaced by former Trueba driver Fredo Mestolio. Unfortunately, ARC's hellish season did not end there. Mestolio failed to qualify for two of the next four races, putting ARC in pre-qualifying for the first time since 2013. Meanwhile, ARC set new records in futility by having not been classified for ten straight races, a new record that surpassed Foxdale's miserable 2013 F1RWRS season. The season went from bad to worse as the team went into complete bankruptcy at the end of the season. The ARC name would live on in America but the team's run in the F1RWRS was over. The team was then bought by Boxtel Engineering who honored ARC's deal to Andrea Battani. Unfortunately for Jesus Plaza, his contract with ARC did not run out until the thirty-first of January, by which time all of the seats in the series had been filled in preparation for the 2015 F1RWRS season. The last legacy of the ARC team came at the end of the season when they were awarded Reject of the Year for 2014 season, and the rest is history.
