  • After a disappointing run, Jones Racing elected to withdraw its F4 team after two seasons.
  • Team Macmillan withdrew weeks before the start of the season.
  • MK Scuderia moved the base of operations for its Formula 4 team to Ireland, with a new Irish competition licence adopted to reflect the change.
  • Having over-extended itself in other series, Panthera opted to pull out of the Anglo-Irish F4 championship.

  • Shawn DiBenedetto joined the Road to Indy ladder.
  • 2019 runner-up Gabriel Hoffmann moved up to European Formula 3 to drive for PORE.
  • Guillaume Laurier mysteriously vanished while on holiday with his family in Dakar.
  • Emma Le Blan vanished at the exact same moment as the rest of the Panthera organisation. Scientists are still debating the cause to this day.
  • Alfie Lockwood opened a bakery in Truro.
  • Toshio Maka was awarded a place in BORC's Asian Formula 3 and ELMS teams for 2020.
  • Nakaguri Morioka went home to his family in disgrace.
  • Hunter Autosport similarly promoted Siobhan McMahon to their ELMS project for 2020. It is unknown as yet what Jake's plans are.
  • Harry Platten was left without a drive just days before the season began as Carlin opted to replace him with the more experienced Collin Daley Jr.
  • Ethan Renaud has been cryptic regarding his plans for 2020, simply repeating "l'hibou."
  • Magda Szervánszky was promoted to F3 where she would drive for Hypernova.
  • Will Tregurtha is also doing something weird this year, but because he's a real person and I don't want to risk a libel charge, I won't say anything.
  • Reigning 2019 champion Ione Wilkerson left the series as per regulations prohibiting champions from defending their title.
