Clara Descoteaux

Clara Descoteaux (born 1st of January, 2004) is a Canadian racing driver currently driving in Anglo-Irish Formula Four with Raikkonen-Robertson Racing.

Early Life

Descoteaux was the daughter of a Bloc Quebecois MPP and a former snowmobile racer. When she turned 11, she started running at snowmobiles, winning several races. Hoping to reach her motorsport dream, she switched to USF2000, where she did a one-off and was 4th.

Trip to the Isles (2018-)

She then took a trip to Britain, in the hope of convicing a team in the newly formed Anglo-Irish F4 series to take her. She eventually conviced Raikkonen-Robertson Racing to take her. Being only 14, she was one of the youngest drivers on the series. That, coupled with a lack of experience with open-wheelers, meant that her first season wouldn't be that impressive apart from a few points. However, she showed her talent at the first race at Silverstone; after a superb qualifying, she took advantage of her like of fast circuits to take 2nd and stayed there until her engine failed with only a lap to go.
