The 2013 F1RWRS Australian Grand Prix was the second race of the 2013 F1RWRS season. It was won by Mark Dagnall, who got his second race win in his second start in F1RWRS.

Pre-Qualifying

Yu Hiang-Hao topped the charts once again with a 1:44.589. Jesus Plaza placed second, while Nicolas Steele placed third. This would be his last race for Team Calinetic as the team once again failed to qualify, despite Steele's best efforts, since the other driver, David Koczo, didn't post a fast enough time to qualify the team. ARC, Flying Fish and FAT Turbo all advanced to the qualifying session.

Qualifying

Douglas Mann took his second straight pole position with Foxdale. Plaza was once again surprising by qualifying ninth. Both cars from CR Motorsport failed to qualify.

Race

Douglas Mann led at the start, while Shinobu Katayama, who qualified second, got passed by Mark and Chris Dagnall after having a slow start. Mark Dagnall then rammed into the back of Chris Dagnall, and had to pit for a new front wing, and dropped to last place. Pippa Mann and Hagane Shizuka had a great battle for 4th position, while Chris Dagnall was barely defending his second place from Katayama. On Lap 4, Katayama passed Chris Dagnall for second while Aurelien Moll passed Shizuka for 5th. On Lap 7, Thomas De Bock made a mistake and fell to 13th (from 8th), hitting Saeed Al Faisal, making him pit for a new front wing. Phillippe Nicolas encountered some problems with the throttle and fell to last place.

On Lap 11 Ashley Watkinson spun, and Mark Dagnall had nowhere to go but her rear tire. Dagnall went undamaged but Watkinson was out. Then Rhys Davies put a good move on Shizuka for 6th position. Three laps later, Jesus Plaza passes Dave Simpson for 8th. Then on Lap 19, Kay Lon spun at the chicane and retired from the race. It would be his last for Kamaha Motorsports as he would race for Jones Racing for the majority of the season. Three laps later, Mark Dagnall somehow made it into the Top 10.

On Lap 23, Dave McFaste suffered a puncture, and, in an attempt to avoid him, Daniel Martins and Barii Mori crashed out of the race. Then Moll passed Chris Dagnall for third place, before the first round of pit-stops occured, with Chris Dagnall and Plaza attempting to go further on their tires. Not much happened until Lap 40 when Mark Dagnall passed Shizuka for 6th place. Douglas Mann's gearbox conked out two laps later, and Gary Cameron and Al Faisal follow shortly after. Mark Dagnall then passed Rhys Davies for 4th in a great move. Moll would then retire the next lap with an electrical problem, leaving 10 cars still running, in order at the time of the retirement, Katayama, Chris Dagnall, Rhys Davies, Shizuka, Hiang-Hao, Simpson, Daniel Melrose, Nathanael Spencer, and Phillippe Nicolas. Then Chris Dagnall had an engine failure, putting Shizuka on a podium spot.

On Lap 76, Katayama's engine goes out, putting Rhys Davies in the lead briefly before Mark Dagnall (who spun at the same spot as Watkinson not too shortly beforehand) overtook him for the lead. Despite having to pit for fresh tires 5 laps to the end, Mark Dagnall hanged on to win the race, with Rhys Davies second, Dave Simpson a surprising third for Prospec, Melrose 4th for ArrowTech, Spencer 5th and Nicolas 6th.
