The 1950 French Grand Prix was the sixth race out of seven in the 1950 Formula One season, held at Reims. Juan Manuel Fangio won the race, taking advantage of Giuseppe Farina's retirement from the race to take the championship lead, with Luigi Fagioli finishing second and also passing Farina in the standings. Peter Whitehead finished third. The race was declared a non-championship round for the Mediocrity Awards.
Entries
- Chaboud decided not to start the race in his car, instead sharing Philippe Etancelin's Talbot-Lago.
