This article is about the group itself. For the team, see Peak Motorsport Canada.
The Peak Motorsport Group (or PMG) is an international motorsport consortium headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand; though it also has divisions in other countries, most notably Canada.
History
The Peak Motorsport Group was formed in early 2006 by Canadian native Edward Summers, a prominent businessman. It entered the 2007 Alternate GP2 season as "Peak Motorsport Canada", with its workshop in Vancouver.
The High Performance Group was formed at the beginning of 2016 by Raymond Douglas (head of the Douglas Media Group), Dominic Spearman (CEO of Spearman Industries) and Craig Harris (founder/CEO, Harris Finance). They ran a number of teams in various series during 2016, most notably High Performance Racing in F1RSTC and RRC and Harris Finance Racing in Lupo GTI.
PMG and HPG merged at the beginning of 2017, with Ziegler Holdings (Alvin Ziegler) and the Clark Corporation (The Clark family) buying out the shareholdings held by Douglas and Spearman.
