LEC Refrigeration Racing were a British Formula One team that operated during the late 1970s.
The team made their debut in 1977 with David Purley and Riccardo Patrese at the wheel. Purley set up the team with funds from his family's refrigeration company but opted to step aside in favour of managing the team after his first attempt to qualify with the team was unsuccessful. Bruno Giacomelli took his place and the two Italians were able to make the grid on a few occasions.
It was all change in 1978 as Patrese was signed by Scuderia Everest and Giacomelli returned to Formula 2 - the seats taken by Ian Scheckter and Gijs van Lennep instead.
