Report:

Jules Bianchi was not able to stop his Icelandic opponent from taking the lead.

With the rain gone, it was expected that the old order would be restored with significantly less chaos. Whilst certain things went as expected, others did not. Qualifying ended with Jules Bianchi’s first pole position of the 2019 Formula One season.

Pastor Maldonado corrected that development at the start, quickly acquiring the lead from the French star. He then went on to build a very significant lead, even through the pitstop period, as the rest battled for the places down the order.

However, then Maldonado got careless: whilst lapping the struggling Carlos Sainz, Jr., Pastor Maldonado ran out of track and talent. This resulted in a race-ending accident, creating a true battle for the lead as Precision and Theodore saw their chances.

In the end, today’s glory lies with Teddy Yip. The son of the great businessman from Indonesia has outdone his father’s achievements after only four races in the sport: Einar Ármannsson scored Theodore’s first and his second victory in the sport.
