Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, commonly referred to as BMW is a German automobile manufacturer who have notably supplied engines to several Formula One teams. This has included Tyrrell from 1981, Williams from 2000 to 2005 and Sauber from 2006 to 2009.

BMW engines have powered World Drivers Championships for Ralf Schumacher in 2001, Rhys Davies in 2003 and Daniel Melrose in 2007, 2008 and 2009
