Report:

Lewis Hamilton's interference could spell bad news for Dean Stoneman's dreams of winning the title.

With only seven races left in the Formula One World Championship, every mistake, every error, can change the game for good. This is the lesson we were able to take away from today’s race.

Pastor Maldonado was the one who avoided errors and came out on top, after having conquered Jules Bianchi at the start, another rookie error by Torrente handed him the lead he never relinquished.

Despite nearly being involved in an accident with a non-cooperative Daniel Ricciardo, Maldonado was able to extend his championship lead, after Dean Stoneman was stuck behind Lewis Hamilton’s green Caterham for most of the Grand Prix.

A nice story in the midfield was Stoffel Vandoorne scoring his first point since returning from a severe injury. With two very good drivers ready to act, Haas could very well turn their final F1 season into an acceptably happy ending after all.
