In a chaotic environment, the smart thrive: Artem Markelov wins for BR Mansell!
Turkey spent the entire weekend celebrating the 20th outing of their Grand Prix, and it certainly was a race to celebrate for those fans of the sport who like chaotic races: with only ten cars finishing, many, many dreams were crushed, but other dreams were fueled.

Nobody had more fuel for their cause than young Artem Markelov. Some would say his look, his tattoos, are unbecoming for a Formula One driver. However, a victory in this environment really makes the talent this Russian has visible for everyone, a great result for BR Mansell.

Diego Torrente went on to finish second, but he and Mike Rockenfeller both earned 60-second time penalties. This gave Marvin Kirchhöfer his second second-place finish in F1 and allowed Calinetic to return to the podium. With their decision to send out Wehrlein after fixing his car’s issues, the Jamaican team earned a lot of points today.

Alexander Albon and James James Davies had a close battle that turned out to be for P4 and P5 and provided a healthy bunch of entertainment in a sea of failure. Pastor Maldonado, on the other hand, provided unintentional entertainment when his car stopped on track a number of times, hurting himself a lot, dropping him to ninth out of ten.
