The 2014 Formula 1 Rejects Big Car Championship season was the first season of the Formula One Rejects Big Car Championship, succeeding the defunct F1 Champ Car Championship. The championship was to contain 11 rounds from all corners of the globe, but after qualifying for the third round in Elba, the series was cancelled after the commercial rights holder went bankrupt, leaving Heinz-Nick Schuttel as unofficial champion of the series.
Teams and drivers
- 1 - After Virgin Inter Corse went into administration after Round 1 of the championship, a new outfit named Scuderia Alitalia stepped in to save the team. They retained VIC's existing entry, car, engine and drivers, and therefore retained Nobushige Fukuda's 16 points earned at the first round of the season.
- 2 - After the Somalia Grand Prix, Scuderia Alitalia announced the launch of a B-team called Parma Corse, to début at the Vatican City Grand Prix. The series folded and the team never ran.
- 3 - After the Somalia Grand Prix, a new team called Team Metcalf GP also announced its intention to compete in the series. The team was accepted and scheduled to compete in the Vatican City, but the series folded before they could compete.
