Jean-Vincent Albertini (born 27 July 1990 in Monte-Carlo) is a Monegasque racing driver, currently test/reserve driver for Jooky Melrose Racing Team in the AutoReject World Series. He has previously driven for Autodynamics Grand Prix and Venturi Formula in the series.

Career

Jean-Vincent was born in 1990 and comes from the family of gentlemen racing drivers: he's the son of Francois Albertini and the grandson of Leon Albertini - both enterpreneurs and chairmen of the shipbuilding company - Albertini Construzioni Navali. Jean-Vincent's father sponsors his racing career. "JV", as he is called by his friends, has some racing experience, mostly by racing in French National Karting Championship and French touring car championship (GT Tour), where he drove the family Chevrolet Corvette used by his father. He never had any major successes in professional racing. He names Mirko Bosevic and Chris Dagnall as one of his influences.

Jean-Vincent competed in F3RWRS for his private entry - Ecurie Albertini. He sold the assets to Hydook Racing Team to form Hydook Junior Team that will compete in 2015 F3RWRS season. After that he considered retiring from single-seater racing, but eventually stepped up to F2RWRS as the second driver with Gillet Ecurie Nationale Belge.

Despite tough beginnings, with two DNQPs, JV took the latter part of the season by storm and eventually finished 4th in his debut season. In 2016 he stepped up to F1RWRS, splitting his time between driving for Autodynamics and Gillet. Doing so proved to be a struggle, with JV not achieving any spectacular results in both series. The gamble paid off, though, as Albertini scored his first win in the series in his debut season, finishing 12th in the season standings. This result was enough to secure a place in the team for 2017, moving into F1RWRS racing full-time.

At the end of 2018, Albertini agreed a deal to become test and reserve driver for reigning constructors champions Jooky Melrose Racing Team. He combined this role with driving in the 2018-19 FIA Formula E Championship with The National Academy of Motorsport UK team. Albertini's testing duties continued into 2020, when he became one of the first drivers to test the new Aeroscreen and Halo driver protection devices.
