Dorino Serafini
Teodoro "Dorino" Serafini (born 22 July 1909 in Pesaro, died 5 July 2000 in Pesaro) was an Italian racing driver who competed in Formula One from 1950 onwards. Despite a sporadic (at best) career before Formula One, his extreme consistency allowed him to finish the inaugural season as runner-up. He subsequently competed mostly for Scuderia Ferrari, occasionally driving for Renzo. He scored four Grand Prix victories and seven podiums, as well as five pole positions and seven fastest laps. He was known as one of the more complete drivers of his day, although he later developed a reputation for his involvement in multiple accidents, notably with Ferrari teammate Reg Parnell. Following an accident in the 1956 Italian Grand Prix, he largely retired from motorsport at the age of 47.
