Precision Take 1-2, Cut Championship Deficit

Qualifying:

Report:

Overtaking a Dawson was one of the rare highlights in a miserable race for Daniel Melrose.

Precision team manager Jeroen Krautmeir claimed that his team was back after the success on Saturday. That is a huge claim, but if today is any indication, it is one the Mercedes-Benz-backed racing team sure is able to back up.

Jules Bianchi controlled the race from the start, only temporarily handing the lead over to Sauber during the pitstops, taking a great win for himself. Diego Torrente, his teammate, found it tougher to beat the Saubers, but did so as well.

Caterham were left to play third fiddle in the results that, in the range of the point scorers, almost became Noah’s ark. Only Daniel Melrose, who simply could not achieve competitive pace today, was missing for said ark to become reality.

This rather stable race left few opportunities for other teams to score and it was Romain Grosjean, who took advantage and grabbed an important point for Holden. Also praiseworthy is the performance of Dawson, who ran well with both cars.

Race:

Fastest Lap:

Jules Bianchi – 1:10.874

Infinite Improbability Drive Of The Race:

Carlos Sainz, Jr. – he was very impressive, beating superior cars to the flag.

Reject Of The Race:

Daniel Melrose – his race pace was simply abhorrent, this will not endear him to teams in F1.
