2016 Formula 2 Rejects World Race Series

The 2016 F2RWRS season will be the third season of the F2RWRS.

It will be the first season in which teams have more freedom over chassis and tyres. In 2015 teams could only use a Lola Chassis with Michelin tyres.

Teams can choose a chassis from Lola, Dallara, Zytek and Reynard as well as a tyre supply from either Michelin or Bridgestone.

Ford joined Lancia, Holden, BMW and Aston Martin as the engine suppliers for 2016. They replaced Audi who left to concentrate on other series.

• 1 - RonDen Engineering will be running the Lancia 016 engines, which will be rebadged as Zastavas for commercial reasons.
• 2 - Masta Valsattis' ban from the 2015 F2RWRS Ameican Grand Prix carried over into 2016. Justin Case replaced him for the first round.
• 3 - Gulf M/Power Racing were forced to use Michelin tyres after Bridgestone fulfilled their quota.
• 4 - Scuderia Lancia Alitalia claim that they will refuse to use the Michelin tyres and will race on the Oz Racing wheels without tyres.
