Gianluigi Pazzini in 2014

Gianluigi "Gigi" Pazzini (born 25th February, 1993 in Milan, Italy) is an Italian professional racing driver, who currently drives for Melrose Racing Team in the Formula 2 Rejects World Race Series.

History

Gianluigi Pazzini is one of the youngest members of Scuderia Alitalia at only 21 years old. A recent graduate of karting, he spent the last couple of years fighting his now team-mate Alessandro Lucarelli for the Italian F3 Championship, lifting the title in 2013 and gaining promition to F3RWRS.

For 2014, he has stepped up to the international F3RWRS championship with Scuderia Alitalia. The half-season he spent there went well, beating both his team-mates consistently throughout the season, scoring three podiums and most of the team's points for the year.

As a reward for his impressive performances that year, he was promoted to the F2RWRS with RonDen Racing Engineering for the 2015 season, as part of a deal between the Belgian team and Pazzini's employers Scuderia Alitalia.

In 2016 he was transferred from Alitalia Juniores Squadra to The Crusaders Junior Team.
