David Freeman (born 4th August, 1953 in Prestatyn, North Wales and known mononymously by his racing pseudonym "Dave") is a British former racing driver best known to as a competitor in the Dywa Grand Prix Series and for his exploits in the English and Welsh short track racing scene, most notably as an early star of the Coastal Raceway dirt track on Pydew Farm which he co-founded. He was plucked from obscurity to race for Order of Racing in the 1979 Dywa GP season after the team fired driver Barry McKockiner for failing to qualify in 26th place.
