Co-founder of Coastal Raceway in North Wales

David Terrence Feldman (born 4th August, 1953 in Prestatyn, North Wales and known mononymously by his racing pseudonym "Dave") is a British former racing driver best known to as a competitor in the Dywa Grand Prix Series and for his exploits in the English and Welsh short track racing scene, most notably as a local legend of hot rod racing at the Coastal Raceway dirt track on Pydew Farm which he co-founded. He was plucked from obscurity to race for Automotive Super Sport in the 1979 Dywa GP season after regular driver Ben Dover was ruled out for three races. Dave scored two DNFs and a DNPQ.

A year later, he managed to be in the right place at the right time to run the 1980 Race of Champions for Graham Eden Racing: he was visiting his friend the weekend of the race, and said friend happened to be the clerk of the course. After a non-awful qualifying performance, Dave experienced steering difficulties in the race. Despite this, he refused to pull over and retire the car in what he knew would be his only ever Formula One race. This made him quite the hazard for other drivers until his race was ended by an engine failure; he should have been shown the black flag, the friend who had got him the drive in the first place could not bring himself to show it.
