The 2015 F1RWRS Canadian Grand Prix was the seventh race in the 2015 F1RWRS season. It was held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada. The race was the third and final one held in North America.
Pre-Qualifying
James Davies from the Sunshine team took top spot in the session, posting a 1:18.868. Frank Zimmer from Holden Racing Team was second, and Andrea Battani from Boxtel Engineering was third. As such, Sunshine, HRT and Boxtel qualified for the next session. Dave Simpson, despite setting the fourth fastest time in the session, did not qualify his team as former F2RWRS Champion Mitchell Macklin was 14th. Jari Kekkonen, despite being 10th in the session, somehow managed to set a fast enough time to make it into the next session.
Qualifying
David Neuberg took a surprising pole position, setting a 1:17.293. He took it from teammate Rhys Davies, Pippa Mann, and Nicolas Steele. Martin McFry was a surprising fifth. Ron Mignolet placed sixth while championship leader Mark Dagnall was all the way down in 15th position. James Davies qualified a surprising 7th. Jari Kekkonen and Daniel Melrose did not qualify.
Race
At the start of the race, Kay Lon broke too late at the first corner and rammed into teammate Fredo Mestolio, which in turn ended up getting Andrea Battani, Phillippe Nicolas, Thomas De Bock and championship leader Mark Dagnall involved, taking them all out of the race. David Neuberg led for most of the race until his transmission failed, giving the lead to Pippa Mann, where she would stay giving the team their first win of the season. Ron Mignolet then inherited second out of this, but his transmission failed as well, giving second place to Martin McFry. Sammy Jones completed the podium, while James Davies, Aurelien Moll and Rosco Vantini finished up the points.
