Previous: 2015 | Next: 2017 |
The 2016 F2RWRS season will be the third season of the F2RWRS.
It will be the first season in which teams have more freedom over chassis and tyres. In 2015 teams could only use a Lola Chassis with Michelin tyres.
Teams can choose a chassis from Lola, Dallara, Zytek and Reynard as well as a tyre supply from either Michelin or Bridgestone.
Lancia, Holden, BMW, Ford and Aston Martin are still the five engine suppliers for 2016.
Teams and drivers
- 1 - RonDen Engineering will be running the Lancia 016 engines, which will be rebadged as Zastavas for commercial reasons.
- 2 - Masta Valsattis' ban from the 2015 F2RWRS Ameican Grand Prix carried over into 2016. Justin Case replaced him for the first round.
- 3 - Scuderia Lancia Alitalia and Gulf M/Power Racing were forced to use Michelin tyres after Bridgestone fulfilled their quota.
