The ARWS sanctioned Young Drivers Test for the 2018 season took place at Circuit Paul Ricard, at Le Castellet in the south of France. Most teams arrived with a duo of youngsters from the various feeder series to the sport, including AutoReject 3.5 and AutoReject 2.0, amongst others. Notable absences included Revolution Engineering, who had gone into liquidation only days before the test, and Equipe Gauthier who failed to formally nominate any drivers nor even show up, despite the track being their local facility.
