Hellé Nice, (born Mariette Hélène Delangle 15 December 1900 in Aunay-sous-Auneau, died 1 October 1984 in Nice) was a French model, dancer and racing driver. Financing her racing career through dancing and modelling, she was a regular competitor at the top echelon of Grand Prix racing in the 1930s until motorsport in Europe was interrupted by World War II. After the War, Louis Chiron alleged that she had been a Nazi collaborator during the War, effectively ending her career. Using the small amount of money she had left, she made one final entry in the 1950 French Grand Prix to negative reactions from the racing establishment. She died penniless and forgotten at the age of 83.
