Geoffrey Crossley (born 11 May 1921 in Baslow, died 7 January 2002 in Abingdon) was a British racing driver who competed in Formula 1 in 1950. He competed in the British Grand Prix, the first race of the World Championship, where he became the youbgest driver ever to start a race at the age of 29 years and 2 days, although his record would be beaten at the next race by a 27-year-old José Froilán González. After the Belgian Grand Prix, he decided to retire from motor racing, unable to afford the maintenance on his car. He made a brief comeback at Goodwood in 1955, but the car was off the pace. The youngest driver in the first F1 race died of a stroke in John Radcliffe's Hospital in Oxfordshire.
