This article is about the group itself. For the team, see Peak Motorsport Canada.
The Peak Motorsport Group (or PMG) is an international motorsport consortium headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand; though it also has divisions in other countries, most notably Canada. They are the owners of ARWS team Peak Aeroracing Engineering.
History
The origins of the Peak Motorsport Group was in early 2006, when Canadian native Edward Summers, a prominent businessman entered "Peak Motorsport Canada" in the 2007 Alternate GP2 season. The team's workshop was located in Vancouver.
The High Performance Group was formed at the beginning of 2016 by Raymond Douglas (head of the Douglas Media Group), Dominic Spearman (CEO of Spearman Industries) and Craig Harris (founder & CEO of Harris Finance). They ran a number of teams in various series during 2016, most notably High Performance Racing in F1RSTC and RRC and Harris Finance Racing in Lupo GTI.
PMC and HPG merged at the beginning of 2017, with Ziegler Holdings (the Ziegler family) and the Clark Corporation (the Clark family) purchasing the shareholdings held by Douglas and Spearman.
