Notes:
- 1 - Cave Armstrong injured his legs at the Jarama GP following a collision with Dimitry Vitkin, and was forced to miss the next three races. He was substituted by Mike Boullier.
- 2 - Dimitry Vitkin was banned for six races after causing a serious collision with Cave Armstrong at Jarama. Additionally, Trabant Rennsport was forced to run only one car at the following French GP due to shortage of spare chassises. Following this, Vitkin was sacked immediatedly and replaced by North Korean Kim Jong-Sung.
- 3 - Richard Arthurs was severely injured in a high-speed accident at Jarama, and couldn't take part in the next nine races. As no other replacement was nominated, the LGPS council appointed Joachim Dumm, originally set to drive the second Scuderia Rifiutare car before the team scaled down to a one-car operation, as his replacement for the French GP.
- 4 - Richard Richardson fractured a rib in a crash at Jarama, and was sidelined for over a month. American Jamie Murphy replaced him until he was again fit enough to race.
- 5 - Charles Jericho suffered a concussion in an accident at Jarama, and was not cleared to take part in the next race due to health concerns. The team's test driver Baccus Young stood in for him.
- 6 - Joachim Dumm was banned for two races after a collision with Micahel Balzary in France, and Team Sandinista terminated his contract immediately. The team's test driver Rachel Graham had recovered from the shock caused by Richard Arthur's accident and was ready to substitute for him from the Italian GP onwards.
- 7 - Marky Howard suffered minor fractures to his ankles in a crash at Paul Ricard, forcing him to sit out the next two GPs. He was replaced by Algernon Bell.
- 8 - Joe Bloggs' negative comments about the HURT Racing car and the team in general resulted in him being sacked after the French GP. Test driver Bazza the Bogan took his place.
- 9 - Billy Bob Barron was seriously injured in a crash at Monza. The team's test driver John Smith took his place until Barron's recovery.
- 10 - Larry Chapman broke his tibia in the same crash with Barron, and had to sit out for two months. Con Wellholme replaced him for the time being.
- 11 - Jan van der Maeyede injured his ankle in an off-track incident between the Italian and Austrian GPs. He was replaced by Greek rookie Apostolos Alianopoulos for the duration of his injury.
- 12 - After the Austrian GP, Herbalife Racing decided to downscale into a one-car operation and sack Danilo di Longo. To keep 30 regular entrants in the series, the LGPS council granted the Zeroforce team from Liechtenstein their second entry. The team would debut at the Czechoslovakian GP with Rockets to Russia driver Algernon Bell.
- 13 - After the German GP, Pieter Kickert joined Foster's Good Call, taking all remaining funds of his team with him. This gave Garagist Racing team a permanent entry after debuting in Germany as a guest entrant.
- 14 - Winton Racing opted to have Apostolos Alianopoulos drive their car in Sweden to give Sam Winton some much-needed rest.
- 15 - After Larry Chapman's recovery, Start 'n' Park Racing decided to give Con Wellholme three more races in the place of Johnny Gunselman.
- 16 - Apostolos Alianopoulos drove for his third team during the same season when Garagist Racing Team entered him as a non-championship entry for the Belgian GP.
