The ARWS sanctioned Young Drivers Test for the 2018 season took place at Circuit Paul Ricard, at Le Castellet in the south of France. It ran over two days, between the 27th and 28th of June.
Most teams arrived with a duo of youngsters from the various feeder series to the sport, including AutoReject 3.5 and AutoReject 2.0, amongst others. Notable absences included Revolution Engineering, who had gone into liquidation only days before the test, and Equipe Gauthier who failed to formally nominate any drivers nor even show up, despite the track being their local facility. Tassie Racing suffered ignomy, turning up at Paul Ricard but not being allowed to test, having failed to file the required paperwork to the ARWS Commission on time.
- 1 - Tassie Racing announced a line-up and attempted to test, but were not cleared to run, having failed to submit relevant paperwork to the ARWS Commission on time.
