Jacques Swaters (born 30 October 1926 in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert, died 10 December 2010 in Brussels) was a Belgian racing driver and team owner. A young garage owner and Ferrari dealer, Swaters founded the Ecurie Nationale Belge with some local drivers from Brussels, and immediately entered Formula 1 from the start of the championship. Developing a reputation as a safe and fast pair of hands, he also became known for his lack of luck, losing out on potential points finishes on many occasions. In 1954, he agreed to leave the management of ENB to Arthur Legat while competing for Scuderia Anglo-Italia, but in 1955, he ended his driving career. ENB's Formula 1 operation ended soon thereafter, but Swaters would go on to team up with André Pilette in 1974 to create Equipe de Course Belge, which is still in operation to this day.
