Arthur Legat

Arthur Legat (born 1 November 1898, died 23 February 1960 in Haine-Saint-Paul) was a Belgian racing driver who competed in Formula 1 in 1950. After finding success in the 1930s, his career lasted well into his 50s. Driving for the local Ecurie Nationale Belge for three rounds of the inaugural Formula 1 season at the age of 51, without much success, he decided to concentrate on other forms of racing, briefly taking over the role of team manager in 1955. He died in 1960.
