Fu Wen
Fu Wen (Born September 20th, 1998 in Nanning, Guangxi Province) is a Chinese racing driver. He is currently racing in the AutoReject World Series for Yangwang Racing Team.
Background
Wen began karting in the 2000s, winning national events in China before moving to Europe to compete against stiffer competition. He was scouted by United Autosports for sportscar racing after a notable performance in Japanese Formula 3. Starting in LMP3s Wen focused his career on endurance racing after lackluster results in open-wheelers. Wen won class victories in the LMP2 class at the World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series. In 2022 Wen switched to the Alpine Elf Endurance Team to limited results.
Wen also has GT3 experience, winning races in DTM for Haput Racing Team (Mercedes-AMG Team HRT) and having several starts in the Bathurst 12hr.
With Alpine winding its endurance operation to prepare for a return to Formula One Wen prepared to step up to the top class of prototypes with Proton Competition. However, during the off-season Wen made the surprising move to return to open-wheelers by signing for the Yangwang Racing Team in ARWS for the 2024 season.
