The 2023 Super Formula season will be the 37th season of Super Formula.

As part of the new regulations, Dallara's new chassis - the SF23 - makes its racing debut. The SF23 was constructed from Bcomp bio-composite material aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 75 percent, and featured updated aerodynamic features aimed at reducing turbulent air and promoting more wheel-to-wheel racing. Nissan enter the championship as a third engine supplier with its factory arm NISMO (with support from Voeckler GPE) expanding to a two-car operation with a full race schedule.

All three engine suppliers updated their 2-liter inline-4 turbos (made under the Nippon Race Engine framework), also used in Super GT, to the new 2023 Super Formula regulations.

Series tyre supplier Yokohama Rubber debuted a new "carbon neutral racing tyre" made from 33 percent recycled and renewable raw materials.

All teams used Dallara SF23 chassis and Yokohama tyres.
