Héctor Alonso Rebaque (born 5th February, 1956 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican former racing driver and businessman known for his appearances in Formula One.

Formula One

1976: Boro

Rebaque's Formula One debut would come courtesy of the Dutch upstart team, Boro. The tiny outfit had ambitiously registered for the whole of the 1976 season - aided partly by Rebaque's funding and hopes for success were predictably low. Surprisingly, both Rebaque and teammate Gianfranco Brancatelli were able to regularly qualify for the races and on many occasions finish them - Rebaque's best result being a twelfth place at the Canadian Grand Prix.

1977: Tyrrell & Hesketh

Change beckoned for Rebaque in 1977 and he upped sticks from the Netherlands and moved to the legendary British team Tyrrell. The 009 chassis suited Rebaque and teammate Pironi and as such he was a dead certainty to qualify for most races. In the early stages of the season, his best result was a tenth place in South Africa. Rebaque would only finish twice more in the first ten races, and with team-mate Didier Pironi scoring 2 points in that time despite the reliability issues, he was let go by Tyrrell after the British Grand Prix. His replacement would be Robert Kagan.

After a couple months without a drive, Rebaque filled the spot after Leonhard von Gottorp, who left Hesketh Racing. Rebaque would join for the final three races of the season.

1978: Rebaque

For 1978, Rebaque would return with his own team.
