The 2013 F1RWRS Mexican Grand Prix was the third race in the 2013 F1RWRS season and the first race to be held in Mexico. It was won by Kay Lon and Jones Racing.
Pre-Qualifying
Kay Lon, now driving for the re-entering Jones Racing topped the charts with a 1:19.575. Saeed Al Faisal placed second and Sammy Jones placed third. Jones Racing, FAT Turbo and Calinetic advanced to the qualifying session.
Qualifying
Unsurprisingly, Douglas Mann was on pole position once again, with Sunshine Infiniti's Hagane Shizuka second on the grid. Thomas De Bock was third, Chris and Mark Dagnall were fourth and fifth. Kay Lon was sixth, the highest a pre-qualifier had ever placed on the grid. There were no other major surprises on the grid. Both cars from CR Motorsport failed to qualify once again.
Race
Daniel Melrose quickly took out Pippa Mann at the start, taking Mann out of the race before she had even crossed the start/finish straight. Shizuka led at the first lap, with Douglas Mann second and Chris Dagnall third. Mark Dagnall passed Lon for fifth after being behind for a bit on Lap 3. On Lap 4, Al Faisal and Kamaha Motorsports debutant Nicolas Steele collided with each other and were both out. Mark Dagnall passes De Bock on Lap 15, and a lap later Aurelien Moll was out of the race due to technical problems. Mark Dagnall pits first on lap 17 and Douglas Mann pits last on Lap 23. Shizuka kept the lead until Lap 25 when his car failed. After De Bock passed Mark Dagnall, Shinobu Katayama's car failed, marking a double DNF for the team.
At Lap 31, Douglas Mann led ahead of Chris Dagnall, De Bock, Mark Dagnall, Lon, Melrose, Daniel Martins, Jones and Barii Mori. Two laps later, Douglas Mann had a loose wheel and retired from the race, handing the lead to Chris Dagnall. Phoenix McAllister then retired. Chris Dagnall starts the second round of stops while Daniel Martins pit for the first time on Lap 44, then he quickly passed Dave Simpson for fifth. Then Chris Dagnall had a puncture on Lap 58 and retired, followed by Sammy Jones having technical problems as well. Kay Lon wound up winning the race for Jones Racing, despite missing the first two races, while Melrose and Martins got ArrowTech ART a double podium for the first time. Simpson, Rhys Davies and John Zimmer also scored points.
