Saeed Al Faisal (born 1st April 1987 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) is a Saudi Arabian pay driver in the Formula 1 Rejects World Race Series. He is one of the minor princes of the Saudi royal family and is formally called Prince Saeed bin Faisal al Suad.

Career

Early History

Faisal drove in various GT races in the Middle East, Europe and America with some degree of success, he did win a numnber of races but retirements meant he never finished higher then 6th in a championship. It was in Europe that he was team mate to Dave McFaste. He decided to enter a Ferrari GT car at Le Mans in 2012, he teamed up with Dave McFaste and another former team mate with American Sam Keppler the third and they managed to finish 19th overall and 2nd in their class.

Faisal helped finance the FAT Turbo Racing team and signed to be the second driver, however he struggled to finish there (he even failed to pre-qualify at Britain and Belgium), after Barii Mori bought the team he left for Sunshine Infiniti replacing Hagane Shizuka finishing fourth at Macau and fifth at China, before being replaced by Kay Lon. The following year Al Faisal struggled to find a drive but was signed by new team Mecha Grand Prix, he tried to prequalify the car for the first 8 races, failing at each attempts. At his final race, the British round, he was accused of hindering the team from escaping prequalifying (James Davies reached as high as third at the British prequalifying session) and he was sacked immediately, being replaced by Mitie Aviation Racing refugee Steven Mackintosh. After that ArrowTech signed him for 2015, only to get fired after another string of bad results, being replaced by his former teammate at Sunshine in 2013 - who recently left the team for Shizuka's Revolution Engineering DMS, Shinobu Katayama, who was loaned from DMS. He moved to Simpson Motorsports afterwards, managing to be the only drive to qualify the car in 2015.

He was offered a Simpson seat for the 2016 season but he decided to retire from F1RWRS, joining the Dave Simpsons Gulf Racing team in the 2016 GT-R World Championship season instead.
