Franco Cortese (born 10 February 1903 in Oggebbio, died 13 November 1986 in Milano) was an Italian racing driver. The co-founder of Scuderia Ambrosiana with Giovanni Lurani and Luigi Villoresi, he was one of the foremost Italian drivers of the immediate post-War period and had a career lasting from 1927 to 1958. With very few exceptions, he stuck to sportscars after the War, but made one exception in the 1951 Italian Grand Prix, in which he drove for his own team. Unable to adapt to the single-seaters, he failed to qualify.
