Barbara Cowell (born 1958) is a British former racing driver best known for her appearances in World Touring Car Masters.

Cowell had a long relationship with Hunter Autosport in the late 1980s and early 1990s - racing a wide variety of machinery in the WTCM championship.

1988 saw her enter Bathurst, Fuji, Watkins Glen and Birmingham in a Class C Ford Escort RS Turbo but she failed to make the grid on any occasion.

The following year, Cowell switched a Renault 5 Club for the European season and managed a Class D victory in Pau - finishing the year sixth in class.

Cowell attracted some Vauxhall dealer support to the team in 1990 and she pedalled her Astra E GSi 16V to five class victories over the course of the season - enough for fifth in Class D.
