Aspire Formula
Aspire Formula are a Qatari racing team backed by the Aspire Academy in Doha, Qatar.
They are currently racing in the Formula 2 World Championship, Asian Formula 3 and Asian Formula 4.
The team aims to further the sporting reach of Qatar, with a Qatari Formula One or ARWS driver a long term goal.
As well as investing in local talents, the team is also supporting drivers of other nationalities.
Formula Two
In 2019 the team made their debut at Formula 2 level with Sophia Floersch and Jack Aitken. Floersch scored two wins on her way to fifth in the standings while Aitken scored a single win for fourteenth.
Floersch remained for a second season in 2020 and was joined by Italian former Indy Lights driver Antonio Giovinazzi in the second seat. Giovinazzi scored a pair of wins in the first round of the season and finished the year in second overall. Aspire also won their first title with the team winning the 2020 Teams Championship.
In 2021, Aspire ran a pairing of Russian driver Nikita Mazepin and Egyptian Malik Zidan. Neither driver made the podium in this season.
Operations
The team's registered office is at the Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar but the team's European operating base is run out of the former Trident Racing facilities in Milan and San Pietro Mosezzo.
Aspire Formula has a working relationship with the Red Bull Junior Team, the Ferrari Drivers Academy and Equipe Gauthier in which representatives of the respective teams have use of Aspire's facilities for training. Some Red Bull and Ferrari development drivers have also raced with the team.
