The 2020 FIA Formula 3 European Championship season is the third season of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, the first after the split between European F3 and Asian F3. This season was notable for huge teething problems with the new Opel V4T units, which led to significant reliability issues during the first half of the season.

- 1 - After gaining a 3rd car, Prema decided to collaborate with Theodore in order to give John-Paul Casciaro a seat in F3 Europe, thus the 3rd car by Prema was entered under the name "Prema-Status Superteam", alluding to the Status Grand Prix name.
- 2 - Organisers of the Pau Grand Prix offered two wildcard entries which were awarded to Cameron Das of North Star Racing and Ye Yifei of Motopark Academy.
- 3 - The French motorsport federation entered Charles Milesi as a wildcard for the races at Paris.
