1994 F1RGP2C Hungarian Grand Prix
The 1994 F1RGP2C Hungarian Grand Prix was the tenth round of the 1994 F1RGP2C season. The race was won by John Zimmer and Benetton.

Qualifying
Daniel Moreno took his sixth pole of the season. Zimmer was lined up beside him and Douglas Mann qualified third.
Race
Moreno led from pole into Turn 1 but Zimmer was passed by Padraig O'Connell and Mann. Poppy Whitechapel missed her brake point and collided with von Hegel. She was forced to pit with a broken front wing. The field immediately began to spread out due to the complete lack of overtaking points. Zimmer made quick work of O'Connell and Mann but he was unable to get past Moreno's Williams. Zimmer was stuck behind Moreno for six laps before going by on Lap 11. Meanwhile, a large train had formed behind O'Connell but no one could get by the Ferrari until the first pit stops on Lap 16. Andrew Spokes and Gio van Dycke both retired early on in the race. Everyone who was on a two-stop strategy (Zimmer, Christopherson and O'Connell) dived into the pits. Moreno was left in the lead and stayed out until Lap 23 when he made his only stop of the race. Rory McAllister's miserable season at Ferrari continued when his suspension failed on Lap 23.
Moreno's race and his championship aspirations were ended on Lap 26 when his suspension failed. Moreno's fifth failure to convert pole into a victory sounded the death knell of his championship challenge. Zimmer inherited a comfortable lead over Christopherson (although Moreno was actually behind Zimmer when he retired) and was free to take a dominating victory. O'Connell went out with a puncture on Lap 25. Pieter Kickert's suspension failed on Lap 33, spinning the Tyrrell into the gravel trap. Éadbhard Ó'Caoimhín's Hart engine let go with seven laps to go, knocking the Irishman out of a potential sixth place. Zimmer won by forty-two seconds over Christopherson. Kazuhiko Takagi drove a stellar race and finished third for Benetton. Mann was fourth and Tom Douglas finished fifth as McLaren tried to gain ground on Jordan. James Davies took advantage of Ó'Caoimhín's problems to finish in sixth. Zimmer's third victory of the season extended his championship lead to six points over Christopherson.
