Éadbhard Ó'Caoimhín (born April 2, 1967 in Cork, Ireland) was an Irish racing driver who competed in the F1RGP2C. He gave Jordan its first and so far only victory in the series at the 1994 F1RGP2C British Grand Prix. After prematurely retiring from racing to focus on academics for two years, Éadbhard returned to the sport in 1996 with Tyrrell as a replacement for Poppy Whitechapel. Ó'Caoimhín failed to finish in any of the nine races he started with the team and was involved in a high-speed accident with Robert Anderson in which Anderson was seriously injured. Ó'Caoimhín retired again at the end of the season to return to his academic career, only to be signed at the last minute as Ferrari's test driver. He earned a doctorate in philosophy from Oxford and is well-known for his numerous essaies on the state of the human condition.
