The 1951 Isle of Man A1 Time Trial was the fifth round of the 1951 season and the first to be held on the Isle of Man. The event was planned to be run as a normal Grand Prix, but after a messy practice session, it was decided that a conventional race format would be too dangerous and that a time trial session would be held instead. Each nation had one attempt at a single lap of the Snaefell Mountain course, with the fastest being classed as the winner.
