Omar Aswat (born 16th January, 2000 in Qatar) is a Qatari racing driver who is a part of the Aspire Formula development programme.

Motorsport career

Aswat began his motorsport career in karting, winning the Red Bull Kart Fight in 2016. After a number of years in Asian regional F4 level competitions, Aswat stepped up into the FIA Formula 3 Asian Championship in 2020 with the Qatari state-backed Aspire Formula team. Aswat scored his first podium in the series with a third place at the season ending round at Shanghai - finishing his maiden season in ninth.

In 2021, Aswat remained with Aspire and secured his first major win with victory in the non-championship Hotstar F3 Shootout at the Madras Motor Race Track in India.

Aswat's heroes are Lewis Hamilton and professional footballer Divock Origi.
