Riccardo Gabriele Patrese (born 17 April 1954 in Padua, Italy) is an Italian former racing driver known for his appearances in Formula One.

Formula One

1977

Patrese made his competitive Formula One debut at the 1977 Spanish Grand Prix for LEC Refrigeration Racing, where he failed to qualify. His first race start came at the Tuscan Grand Prix, where he finished in 16th place.

After Renault driver Jean-Pierre Jarier replaced the injured Emerson Fittipaldi at the Fittipaldi squad after the Dutch Grand Prix, Patrese replaced Jarier effective for the final seven races of 1977.
